OnCore Manufacturing Services, a San Diego, Calif.-based provider of electronic manufacturing services, has formed a medical product design alliance with Proven Process Medical Devices Inc. of Mansfield, Mass.

“We will significantly expand our capabilities in the medical device market with this strategic alliance that will better serve our medical customers,” said Daniel Perez, CEO of OnCore. “The collective capabilities of Proven Process and OnCore will provide our customers with turnkey design-to-production solutions which provide them greater flexibility in managing their products’ lifecycles.”

Perez noted that OnCore’s customers increasingly want to outsource the design-to-commercialization process to achieve time-to-market and target cost objectives.

“Our integrated solution offering helps assure achieving these objectives,” he added.

Kenneth Fine, president of Proven Process, said the goal is to offer medtech customers a seamless manufacturing process.

“We look forward to applying Proven Process’ 18 years of experience and accomplishments in medical product design to not only provide OnCore and Proven Process customers with a single point of contact, but to also offer a tightly integrated design with world-wide medical product realization process for all of their medical product requirements,” said Fine.

OnCore services customers in the defense, industrial and medical technology market. The company has facilities in Springfield and Wilmington, Mass.; Longmont, Colo.; San Marcos, Fremont and San Jose, Calif.; and Tijuana and Rosarito, Mexico.

Founded in 1994, Proven Process provides design, development and validation of Class II and Class III therapeutic and diagnostic medical devices and equipment.
