Medisize Tool Manufacturing Expands in New Facility

Medisize’s production plant based in Kontiolahti, Finland, has announced the relocation of its tool manufacturing capabilities to a state-of-the-art and dedicated satellite building at the excisting premises. The new building brings significant advantages for customers including better and faster tool turnaround, according to company officials. In addition customers will benefit from a specialised measuring department that helps to ensure a “one-time-right” philosophy, leadership said.

Critical dimensions are measured throughout the process (electrodes, tool inserts and plastics components). The focus of the new facility centres upon the manufacture of custom made development tools (1-cavity hardened tools) and mass production tools. The development of the tooling function will improve further in terms of technology, speed and quality.
